Great but do not purchase it if you have already purchased the Elmo Jenkins Novelettes, they are the same, I love thes novels but was disapponited when started reading it and discovered that it was not a fifth novel but the novelettes all together
I love this writer's humor. Time after time I was taken by surprise by something written in this book and laughed out loud (yes, out loud). So far I have read all "Elmo Jenkins" books and will watch for further publications by this author. Also appreciated the many times there were references to the Bible - some thoughts were comforting and some were there seemingly just for me to pay attention to. Thank you Kindle for having these available to download.
I have truly enjoyed all of the "Elmo Jenkins" books so far. They are full of characters that you get to know, and love for the most part. These stories are easy to read, fun to read and something I have trouble putting down once I start reading. *S*
Once again, McMillian does not disappoint in his ability to take you into the shoes of and into the mind of his many colorful characters. I thoroughly enjoyed theses vignettes of the supporting actors in the Elmo series.
U typically love these books, but this one three me for a loop. I wasn't exactly a fan of the switches in perspective. It just made for s really strange addition to an otherwise neat series.
I have read all of the Elmo Jenkins novels and am waiting for Book Six. Each of Elmo's four friends narrates their own story and each story overlaps. I love this technique.
A wonderful new book following four friends of Elmo Jenkins. So funny, & yet inspirational watching ordinary people grow in their faith. As always McMillian Moody lets us watch real life!
