Kindle version layout is awful. Not at all what I expected for a layout to be.
I ordered this E Book version in order to save money and have one less textbook to carry around. Big mistake. The Kindle version does not allow for you to zoom in on the tables which makes it difficult to read specific drug information. I have resorted to looking drugs up in my drug book, which provides great information, but doesn't pin point the information that will be used specifically on my exams. A lot of the drugs on the tables are not listed anywhere else in the book (I checked the index!). I would highly recommend spending the extra money for a hard copy of the book, or buying the E Book directly from the publisher. If I can figure out how to, I plan to ask for a refund.
The content of the book is easy to follow and understand and just what I need for my pharmacology class in nursing school. I would of given this book 5 stars if it were not for some pages being out of sequence and others not fully attached to the book binding (very annoying). Book was purchased as used but it looked completely new with no highlighting.
I was assigned this book in nursing school and have found it to be riddled with inconsistencies and errors in the details. If you actually read all of it, the nursing process often differs from the drug chart and the chapter reading differs from both in many instances. It’s like all of the authors wrote their separate portions in a vacuum and then slapped them all together with no proofreading/fact checking. The nursing process portions in particular are as if someone jotted down random thoughts about certain drugs on a napkin and then transcribed it to this textbook without organizing their thoughts. It’s unbelievable to me that this book is used in higher level education.
The book is easy to read and understand. I find that a lot of the information repeats, even within the same chapter, so it's kind of annoying in that regard.
Best book Ever. I rented it for my Pharm class (Nursing) and passed the class with 90%. It was tough but I studied this book, especially the blue boxes(key points), and it was very helpful for my exams. All the drugs...classes and their side effects were explained perfectly..Also the dosage calculations and practice questions! Thank you Amazon!
Textbook is pretty good. However there we several errors in print that my professors discovered and had to correct.
terrible book, lots of incorrect information. doesn't really show you pharmacology. we were forced to se this for nursing school. dont buy it unless you must.
