After a couple of chapters, it's clear this book is not worth the ink. This is simply an attorney trying to sell services. I am on the board of a non-profit that does not have 501 (c) 3 status and we are seeking to apply. We want to do the majority of the work for this on our own and this book appears to be a source to direct our efforts. You can find more accurate and comprehensive information on the IRS web site. Do not waste a penny on this book. I have trashed it. I would not re-sell it as it would simply waste someone else's time. I would rate it a zero but that's not a option.
It's good to know the difference between the myths and truths of starting a Nonprofit. Reading this book will give you the confidence to not only get started, but also execute creating a quality 501c3 Nonprofit. I highly recommend this book for anyone entering this world.
I've learned the why, how and what's next in the nonprofit journey. I love the author's personal stories highlighted throughout. There's a lot to gain from following expert advice from an experienced attorney with a proven track record of success in nonprofit. Just check out her firm's website (in the book).I cannot wait to share what I've learned.Don't let your friends start a nonprofit that ruins their lives - - - Get them This book!
When I decided to start a 501c3 nonprofit, I came to Amazon and started researching books to help me get some insight on this business. I came to the book and purchased it in paperback. I started reading and could not put it down. I am blown away with the amount of information Ms. Chisholm has compiled into this book. This book should be considered "The Bible" for nonprofit companies.I strongly feel this book will help guide me on legally managing my nonprofit.Thanks Ms. Chisholm for the phenomenal information you've written for us in the 501c3 business. I know it's taken arduous hours compiling this information.
Before starting your nonprofit I recommend first reading this book (and even after you start it, make sure you do so)! It is full of information and things that most nonprofits probably don't know that they need. It will give you peace of mind knowing that you have all of the fundamentals and then you can focus your time on helping your nonprofit grow.
If you are curious about what to expect from starting and running your own nonprofit, read this book! It includes first hand experiences from the author and so much helpful information. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start their own nonprofit.

Attorney Chisholm knows what she's talking about when it comes to starting and running a 501c3! I recommend this book if you'd like to do the same.
