I love how the poems are arranged in such a way that engages the reader conveys the message that a story is being told. I also love that at some point while reading the book, if not at many points, the reader (regardless of who he or she may be) will be able to relate to many of the personal feelings and emotions touched on by the author. This book left me feeling as of I am on a healing journey and also as if I were a part of the authors journey as well. Well written, very creative! More please!

I met Shan-Tay on a flight to Philly and after we were talking a bit, she asked me if I would like to see her book; so of course I did. I started reading and was immediately drawn in. These poems she wrote will touch your heart and you can feel her struggles. At one point I was so overwhelmed with emotion; I just looked over at her and could not believe this woman had been through so much. I am blessed to have met such an inspirational woman. Her book is a must read for anyone looking to find purpose in their life. It gives hope to know you can be pushed down, further than you think possible, find the strength to stand back up and take life head on. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your book with me.

This was my first time reading a book that was written exclusively in poem format. The way that the author played on words were gorgeously brilliant. The way she compared and transferred her emotions into analogy's were even more captivating. She takes you on a rollercoaster of pain and disappointment but always finalizes with great words of encouragement and empowerment. I like that alot. This book is extremely relatable and is sure to help cope the reader when he/she is going through tough times and needs a bit of reassurance.
